Christmas 2007

Wow... My first Christmas date after so many years...
I've always spent my Christmas eve at home watching tv with my parents. The last time I went out on Christmas eve was with Andy like 3 years ago. How time flies...

Alright, back to this year. I'm so honoured to be asked out for a Christmas eve date after a major setback... which I'm still suffering from now... Sometimes, single has its own good too. Able to choose to go out with any guys... Haha... Oops...
Though I didn't have the chance to spend Christmas with this special person, I'm glad I've had a great time too with JunMian and the splendid dinner at Secret Garden... Expensive lehz... haha.
This year's Christmas made me realise that love is not ever-lasting.... How sad...

A Night of Havoc

I'm Craving for Pizza Hut and finally i had it in my mouth! Haha...

Becca and i at The Arena...

After dinner, becca and i went clubbing... First stop, The Arena. It's ladies' night and we had a few rounds of drinks before leaving cos the place juz doesnt suit us... The free lychee martini and vodka were not very nice and the alcohol content were very low... The crowd was full of middle age uncles and aunties.. Oops.. But it was terrible to see this kinda crowd when we were there to "Bio"/see handsome guys and pretty gals. Haha. Erm... but the music was good.. Live band good singers.. The only attraction there for us...

So in the end, after staying for 30min, we went to MOS. Only to realise how bad it was as the previous. There were only a few ppl dancing on the floor and the atmosphere was not fantastic. Failed to bring up our mood. Juz when we decided to finish our vodka redbull and leave, 2 korean guys approached us. Well, it was the first time being approached by guys in a club, kinda excited. Haha... HoHoHo... the 2 guyz were totally "cheated" by us. They were 23 and still schooling in Singapore. When asked about our age, my dear Becca told them we were 25. Haha... so interesting. I became an engineer and Becca became an admin officer. After toking for awhile, we decided to stop the game. In the end, one of the guys asked for my no. and guess what, he msged me 2 days later, but in the sms he sent reads, "Rebecca, do u remember me?" OMG, he juz sent me another msg, and what the hell... this time reads, " Hi Rebecca what are you doing? I hope you glad to reading my message". Eh... I'm Isabel, not Rebecca! Get your names and person right before msging sia!!! anw, i ignored the sms... nv reply. :p

Alright, enough of this ridiculous episode. Next, we went Zouk to find Becca's fren. However, we did not manage to find her, i met my frenz and we danced with them instead. It was quite fun and tiring.. we went back at 4am, when i have a netball game the next day ard 12nn!! Headache!!!!! Haha....

Car Accident

I was woken up by a phone call at 8am.
My mum took the call.
As i listened to what my mum said, i sensed that there was something amiss. She didn't sound right and her voice was very serious. I got up and looked at her as she talked on the phone.

My dad met an accident.
Both of us were shocked and worried. We hurried to the scene of the accident at Ubi Avenue 1.

Thank goodness! My dad wasn't badly injured. Just some minor cuts and bruises on his leg and chest. However, due to the impact, he had chest pain which could be serious. After much persuasion, we went to the Changi General Hospital. My dad was scolded by my mum and I for not going to the hospital when the ambulance came. He claimed that he was alright and refused to go to the hospital when he was actually hurt. Stubborn!

My dad said that as he came out of the carpark after dropping a passenger, a black car suddenly appeared in front of him. It was too sudden for him to react and there was a head-to-head collision. The black Nissan was just a few days old. It's a new car! The driver told my dad that he was sleepy and had fallen asleep which resulted in this accident. His car crossed the double white line to the opposite lane at the bend and crashed into my dad's taxi. Luckily, both of them wasn't driving very fast, around 40 to 50 km/h. Or else, it cannot be imagined. The driver wasn't hurt. (Thanx to the airbag which my dad didn't have.)

My dad's taxi was shifted to the front so as not to obstruct the traffic at the bend. Notice the black Nissan was in the wrong direction.
